CHKO Type 1 Mild Steel Junction Boxes

Hammond Manufacturing CHKO Type 1 Mild Steel Junction Boxes are offered with knockouts and a hinged door with a quarter-turn. The full swing, hinged cover with a latch provides easy access during installation and maintenance, and the formed steel covers close via a slotted quarter-turn latch. These enclosures include through-holes in the back for wall mounting and knockouts on all four sides that can be easily removed. The grounding location is embossed in the body. The boxes are formed and spot-welded from 16-gauge steel for sizes up to 30" x 24" and from 14-gauge steel for 36" x 24" sizes. Hammond Manufacturing CHKO Type 1 Mild Steel Junction Boxes are designed as a junction, pull, or switch box for general-purpose indoor commercial use. The enclosures meet or comply with the following standards: UL-50, CSA, and NEMA Type 1; RoHS; and IEC 60529, IP20.

Commercial Electrical Enclosures with Knockouts

Hammond Manufacturing Commercial Electrical Enclosures with Knockouts are ideal for commercial building construction and light industrial needs. These UL-listed enclosures are available in several NEMA ratings, including Type 1 and Type 3R. The Type 1 enclosures are suitable for use as a junction, pull, or switch box in general-purpose indoor commercial applications, while the Type 3R junction boxes provide protection against rain, sleet, snow, and dripping water. Hammond Manufacturing Commercial Electrical Enclosures feature knockouts on the bottom of the enclosure or on all four sides for design flexibility.
