MakerBot METHOD Filaments and Filament Bundles are available in a range of materials and colors, including red, orange, gray, black, natural, and white. The materials offered are nylon, nylon carbon fiber (CF), nylon 12 CF, tough thermoplastic, polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), and polylactic acid (PLA). The nylon filament provides high abrasion resistance, ideal for industrial applications. The nylon CF version is optimized for a high strength-to-weight ratio and heat resistance, while the nylon 12 CF option offers superior moisture resistance. The PETG filament is durable while resisting chemicals and moisture. The PLA material provides rigid and glossy parts for quick and easy, office-friendly prototyping. The tough thermoplastic filament is durable and suitable for office-friendly printing. The PVA water-soluble support material is designed for complex parts.
